Dr. Syed A. A. Zaidi is board certified in Internal Medicine, as well as Pulmonary Disease and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Zaidi completed his internal medicine residency and a fellowship in the pulmonary and critical care medicine program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry-New Jersey. Dr. Zaidi has been in practice in Ripley, TN since 1997, and is an attending physician at both Lauderdale Community Hospital and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton. He is the Medical Director for Lauderdale Community Hospital's Cardiac/Pulmonary rehab unit, as well as their hospitalist program. He is also the medical director of Lauderdale Community Living Center, and currently serves as the Medical Examiner of Lauderdale County. Dr. Zaidi is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, and a diplomate of the American Society of Sleep Medicine.
Ms. Kimberly Byrd is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Born and raised in Ripley, she completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Mississippi University for Women in 2006. Ms. Byrd has further obtained her Doctorate Degree in Nursing Practice from Union University in 2011. She is an extremely well rounded healthcare professional, having experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Endocrinology and Oncology, as well as Family Practice prior to joining Dr. Zaidi's practice in 2013. Ms. Byrd has admitting privileges at Lauderdale Community Hospital and also cares for our nursing home patients at Lauderdale Community Living Center and Ripley Healthcare and Rehab. Ms. Byrd is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Ms. Martin is a board certified Physician Assistant, who earned her Bachelor of Science in biology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She then earned her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the Prestigious Christian Brothers University. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Ms. Martin sees patients ages 13 years and up in our clinic and has a special interest in treating diabetes and heart health.
